This is a firm favourite and our first love! Pottery painting is not just for children, it's great fun for adults too. We have a huge range of pottery, just choose what you would like to paint and we'll show you how it all works. And don't worry, artistic talent is not required! Our studio is fully equipped with paints, sponges, stencils and we have enthusiastic staff on hand to offer you help and advice. When you have finished, leave your piece with us and we'll glaze and fire it, ready for you to collect just a couple of days later. |
As well as being able to paint your own pottery, we are always happy to undertake commissions for you to create a unique piece for a special occasion. We will paint and personalise any item of our pottery to your order or design, and we are always happy to discuss artwork to make sure we produce what you need . Don't worry if you don't know exactly what you want, that's what we're here to help with and our friendly staff will guide you towards the perfect design! | While our shop is a lovely place to come, we can also come to you! Our fully equipped Mobile Studio goes anywhere and everywhere: it's perfect for birthday parties, school fairs, village fetes, garden centres, schools, Guiding & Scout groups, baby and toddler groups, nights in, nights out, hen parties and just about anything else! This is what we are famous for, and rightly so! We have a reputation as the premier baby keepsakes centre in Oxfordshire, something we are very proud of. We can do prints on pottery, in clay and plaster and we are thrilled to have been the first to offer silver fingerprint jewellery, which lets you keep that most personal of prints, the unique fingerprint, with you all the time. This is a fabulous new craft. Use the special art paper and varnish to cover absolutely anything. We have loads of ideas so you can let your imagination run wild! Making mosaics is a really fun activity, arranging all those little tiles is really satisfying! You can make your own here at The Pottery Place, we have a great range of Italian glass tiles and embellishments for you to experiemnt with as you make your own mosaics. | We are open until 9.30pm every Wednesday - the perfect opportunity to be creative, child free!
