Kiln Hire
Make use of out in-house kiln to fire your own creations!
Bring in your handmade or pre-painted pottery and let our talented staff take care of the firing for you. Even if you're just a hobbyist or experimenting with clay at home: we will carefully fire your creations so they’re ready for their next step or ready to be used.
Our specialty is earthenware bisque with underglaze paints and clear glaze but if you have the correct specifications and we have the space, we're happy to assist with separate firings too! Simply come in with your work with the required firing details and we’ll place it into one of our kiln firings as space becomes available.
We offer the following firings without needing consultation:
Glaze Firing: Glazing bisque pottery and giving it a smooth shiny surface ready to be used
Cone 06: 998c - 1112c
Bisque Firing: Turning your fragile, bone-dry clays into porous, more durable ceramics
Cone 01: TEMPS
Important Information
When submitting work for firing, you are responsible for providing the correct firing temperature in both Orton Cone and Celsius format, along with the make/type of clay or material your pieces are made from.
Pottery is a fragile art form, and there is always a small risk involved in the firing process. While every effort is made to fire work safely, pieces may occasionally crack, break, or change during firing. By submitting work for firing, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Our standard glaze firing is Cone 06 (medium speed) at temperatures between 998°C and 1112°C.
If your pieces require a different firing schedule or temperature, there may be a longer wait time. During busy periods such as school holidays, half terms, Easter, New Year, and the months of November and December we may only be able to fire a limited number of glaze items at a time and are unable to take on any unique firings.
Please collect your work promptly. Pottery left unclaimed for more than 3 months after firing may be disposed of at our discretion.
Baby Prints
Baby and children's hand prints are what we're known for, and we love them.
They make amazing gifts for all the family, and are lovely reminders of how little they once were!
Pet Prints
Precious keepsakes aren't just limited to children: we love to welcome furry friends into the store to get their paw prints done, too!
Prints on Pottery
Our lovely team have had loads of practice getting the perfect prints from children of all ages, so you won't have to struggle to do it yourselves. Plus for all babies 6 weeks and under we will give you a free print coaster!
First, you pick what pottery you'd like to have done, we then pop your little one's print in a colour of your choice onto the pottery.
Our commission price starts from £5 extra per item which includes your preferred lettering and finishing touches. If you would like to personalise your item further additional commission prices will be added appropriate.ly

Prints into Clay
Clay imprints provide a unique keepsake that can last forever! With the prints in a gorgeous colour of your choosing you really get a feel for every line and detail of those little hands and feet on our clay plaques.
The plaques are available in 3 sizes:
4-Print (two hands & two feet) for £60
2-Print (two hands, two feet or one of each) for £50
1-Print (with one print, hand or foot) for £30
All plaques are available with holes and ribbon to hang, or we sell disc hangers and plate stands depending how you wish to display them. Alternatively, you can ask us to frame them for an additional cost.
Clay imprints take 2-4 weeks to be ready for collection, and we'll give you a call when they're available to pick up.
Plaster Outprints
Our plaster outprints are beautifully simple. They'll fit in with any colour scheme in any room.
Choose from two hands, two feet or one of each. The prints themselves are £60 and you can have them framed for an additional £25 in a white box frame if you wish.
Using soft clay our experienced staff will gently make an impression of your little one's hands or feet. This creates the mould for our artists to then pour the plaster in and create a beautiful outprint!
As we have to do an imprint first, you can choose to have a 2-Print Clay Imprint (see above) for a reduced price of £25.
Silver Jewellery Prints
Perfect miniature replicas of your child's hand and footprints are used to make Wow Silver jewellery.
We are delighted to be Oxfordshire's stockist for Wow Silver, who make breathtaking pieces using a hand or footprint.
Prices start from £75 for a charm and £87 for a pendant and £110 for cufflinks. We can also do charm bracelets and keyrings as well as sell various chains at different lengths in addition to what you pick.
We take a print with a magic inkless wipe on thermal paper, which is made into beautiful silver jewellery.
